  • Matthew is alumni of North Coast and Hazelwood Integrated College. He has also been on the Board of Governors for Braidside Integrated School since 2018. His doctorate is in Politics, and he currently works as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of International and European Affairs. Matt joined the AlumNI Board of Trustees in 2019, becoming Chair in 2023.

  • Grace is an alumnus of Slemish Integrated College. She has served as President and Chair of the Trustee Board of the Ulster University Students’ Union. Recently, she interned as a Legislative Assistant for the US House of Representatives, gaining valuable experience in policy and legislation. Grace currently works in public affairs, advising various organisations on their public affairs strategies, political engagement and public relations.

  • A recent addition to the team, Colin became our treasurer in January 2024. He is a site manager for a facilities company in Belfast during the day, and studies accountancy with the ACCA in the evening. Colin likes to get involved with local charities, from the Food Bank to the Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary.

  • Amelia attended Slemish Integrated College, and has worked in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for over 5 years. She has written 2 children’s picture books, including ‘The Bees and The Wind’; a book celebrating 40 years of Integrated Education. She joined AlumNI in 2024.

  • Michael grew up in Belfast and attended Lagan College from 2007 – 2014. Michael studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Queens University Belfast, graduating in 2017. From Monday to Friday, Michael works for an accounting firm in central Belfast, however, by weekends; he enjoys reciting an array of facts and dates in his role as a tour guide.

  • Patrick Handley is a co-founder of AlumNI. He is a Partner with Brunswick Group, a global communications firm, head-quartered in London. He works with the energy and resources industries, and advises arts and charity organisations. Patrick is a board member of the British-Irish Association, and a supporter of the Improbable and Young Vic Theatres.

  • Sarah is a past pupil of Priory College and went on to work in various community and voluntary sector organisations, including peace building, and has a keen interest in the health sector, Sarah is a former Boardroom Apprentice and shadowed the Belfast Health and Social Care board.

    Currently working in policy and public affairs, with a speciality in cancer, and a focus on how to integrate lived experience throughout the advocacy landscape.

  • Lise is a founding pupil of Hazelwood Integrated School. Now based in Glasgow, she supports professional learning and leadership across the education system in her role as Senior Lead Specialist at Education Scotland, an executive agency of the Scottish Government.

  • Nicole is a researcher, evaluator, facilitator and advisor from somewhere between Ballymena and Antrim. She is based in The Hague, the Netherlands, and works in the cultural creative industries. She attended Braidside Integrated Primary School, and with firm early foundations in Integrated Education, she has been a passionate advocate ever since.

  • Mum of 3 children currently attending Integrated schools, Lucie was a Parent Rep through Central's journey to Integrated status. As a parent governor at Central since its transformation to integrated status in 2021, this is also Lucie's sixth year as Chair of Central's PTA. Lucie is a Local Area Officer at Co-Ownership and has had an extensive career in the housing sector.

  • Ren is an activist and researcher from Lisburn. Though she didn't have the opportunity to attend an integrated school, she learned the importance of learning together with those from various backgrounds by joining cross-community programmes and later volunteering at Belfast YMCA. Having just completed a Master's in Conflict Transformation and Social Justice, Ren joined the Board of Governors for Fort Hill Integrated College in early 2024.

  • Mál is a PhD researcher at Queens University in Gender and Politics, and completed a master’s in Human Rights Law and Transitional Justice. Outside of academia, they are a performer and grassroots activist, advocating for LGBTQIA+ Rights within Northern Ireland as a part of Mid Ulster Pride since 2019 and are a part of the planning committee for Trans Pride Belfast.

  • Adam is a past Lagan College student and a longtime Integrated AlumNI member since 2013. A writer and campaigner, he has led campaigns electing climate-friendly politicians, derailing university tuition fee increases and halting billions in taxpayer's money flowing to fossil fuel projects. He currently works as a strategist for the global environmental organisation Oil Change International on multilateral initiatives to end fossil fuel subsidies. His writing has been published in The Guardian, The Independent, The New Statesman and elsewhere.
