Our network and supporters
Integrated AlumNI welcomes anyone who shares our purpose: the advancement of integrated education in Northern Ireland. The biggest part of our network - and our core audience - are past pupils of integrated education. Yet we welcome parents of past and current pupils, educators, current pupils 16+ and other supporters. By signing up to our network we’ll share with you ways to help promote integrated education (like signing petitions or emailing your MLAs or MPs), information on new policy changes and developments (like new campaigns by the IEF and NICIE), and invitations to events and ways to get involved.
Our network thrives on interaction. We all have different backgrounds, jobs and interests but we are united by a shared experience of integrated education. This experience sets the bonds of new friendships no matter where members are based. Wherever you are, you can #JoinIn.
Past pupils of integrated education
Our core network is made up of alumni - past pupils - of integrated education, either at primary or secondary level or both. Our members include some of the first-ever pupils at integrated schools as well as those who have just left school to move on to work or higher education.
Current pupils 16+
We welcome current pupils 16+ to sign-up! You won’t be able to join our events until you have left school, but you can never be too ready. Signing up will let you see how our network is advocating and using our voice for positive change in Northern Ireland, plus you can tell your classmates all about what we’re doing and how to get involved.
Family or guardian of past or current pupils
Some of our keenest supporters are those who lobbied to create the very first integrated schools in Northern Ireland. More recent generations of parents and guardians are no less active. We welcome all of you to get involved through our network where we’ll share with you ways to help promote integrated education and ensure that even more pupils have the opportunity to sit in a classroom that welcomes all of Northern Ireland’s diversity.
Educators
If you are a head or teacher or otherwise involved in an integrated school, you should #JoinIn too! We’ll share ways for you to get involved in our and our partners’ advocacy. You can help us to grow our network of past pupils and we can work with you on school engagement and much more.
Supporters
You might not have first-hand experience of integrated education; you might not even be from Northern Ireland. But you can sign up to show your support and to help amplify the voice of Integrated AlumNI, financially support the integrated education movement or support in some other way.
